At least one person was killed following an attack by militants affiliated with the Islamic State organization terrorist group in Muambula, Muidumbe District, Cabo Delgado on November 17, 2022.
This attack comes after a similar attack in the same area on November 14, when insurgents infiltrated Muambula village in the morning, opening fire around the high school and the market.
As a reminder, despite the deployment of security forces in the province of Cabo Delgado, militants affiliated with the terrorist group of the Islamic State organization are still very active. They particularly raid remote areas, carrying out abductions and brutal executions. Renewed attacks are possible in the region in the near future.
